Arriving at 18:15, we snagged a table right away, but the place was packed to capacity by the time we left at 19:40.

Major downside: it’s unbearably noisy, partly because of the crowd, but the din seemed amplified somehow by the space, like an echo chamber.

On my last visit, I’d been disappointed by the MNM – rated a shockingly low 3.0 (see 17.068 Mul Naeng Myeon) – suspecting the terzepatide shot that I was taking at the time had altered my perception.

When cooked to a perfect al dente, properly drained and rolled, the noodles should hold tightly together like this, requiring a bit of effort to separate them – but never ever to cut with scissors.

Now off the drug, I was relieved to find that the MNM is as perfect as ever.

Mandu (4.0): still the best, in the world, of this kind.
Jeyuk (half) (3.0): for the first time, the jeyuk was disappointingly dry, though still good.
