Mapo Sutbul Galbi is a Korean restaurant. Specializes in grilled pork barbecue — “sutbul = charcoal fire” — particularly dweji galbi, which was supposedly invented in the district of Mapo (see supposedly 4.234 Map Jinjja Wonjo…). Located in the ever fickle district of Gangnam — notice the Masarati parked out front……this place has managed to thrive for decades; the most recent visit, can’t remember when, maybe sometime during the mid-90s; recently renovated.
The food didn’t impress.
Then again, the meal was at lunch — when I’m never much in the mood for food — and with the in-laws — who always kill my appetite — just kidding…
