The 5th in an on-going series of burger experiments made from various types of packaged frozen patties, this time a different brand of fish cutlets (with tartare sauce + mayo-mustard):

    1. 13.066 Chicken Burger (with chili-ketchup)
    2. 13.070 Cheese Tonkatsu Burger (with tonkatsu-mayo)
    3. 13.075 Fishkatsu Burger (with tartare sauce)
    4. 13.082 Double Neobiani Cheese Burger (with gochujang-sour cream)
The square patties made them look more like Filet-o-Fish.

Much improved upon the previous fish burger.  First, the cutlets by the brand Cuisine were skinless, thus delivering a cleaner fish flavor.  The additional mayo-mustard, spread on the buns, paired nicely with the toasted bread.  Although I tend to prefer the sweet crispiness of iceberg lettuce in most sandwiches, I was pleased to find here that romaine seems to work better for burgers, both for its mild bitterness and flatter profile.  The jalapeños provided welcome bursts of sharp tang in harmony with the sauerkraut and tartare sauce.  Perhaps the best one yet.

Debating whether to include a slice of tomato next time.
