Reverse-Seared Ribeye Steak

with the Family, W’s aunt and cousin
W’s aunt – who was sort of our nanny when I was based in Manila, before the family joined me (see generally 5.358 Kimchi Jjigae + Mu Guk) – dropped by for a visit, along with her daughter, to raid W’s closet. With fond memories of the kimchi jjigae she would make for me whenever I was back in Korea for a weekend visit (see for example 6.312 A Typical Korean At-Home Meal), I invited them to stay for dinner.

I was very happy for the opportunity to cook the steak, cut from that monster ribeye that I’d purchased whole and portioned out for different applications back in May (see generally 15.127 Roast Ribeye Au Jus) – planning to use the last remaining bit tomorrow, stay tuned.
