While the main move will occur sometime after June 11 (IZ’s last day of school), I couldn’t resist starting to settle in, even if only symbolically.

Most importantly, the LEGO migration begins.

Two Two Chicken is a Korean restaurant. Specializes in fried chicken. Part of a franchise chain.

Not yet 1800 when the unload was complete, I strolled down to Oksu Station to get a beer. However, the first 3 places refused service without a food order, even though they were nearly empty. Two Two Chicken was happy to serve. When I told the owner about the others, he shook his head and admonished that they should know better: restaurants in the neighborhood rely primarily on locals, so nurturing regular customers is essential for staying in business.

After a couple beers, I decided to reward the owner’s hospitality by ordering a fried chicken to go.

It wasn’t that great. Dry, both inside and out. Certain that better bird is to be found elsewhere, but it’ll do in a pinch.

Not entirely by coincidence, my first meal in our Wirye apartment had also been takeout fried chicken, nearly 6 years ago (see generally 11.163 Tong Dak).
