Upon arrival at the cabin, I had a mid-afternoon drink with Dad (he and Mom happened to be there).
Schmucker Odenwälder Hefeweizen (2.5): according to my father, a (Korean) beer expert recently declared this “the greatest beer in the world” – it’s not.Hwayo X. Premium (2.5): purchased on the plane flying back from the Philippines in January (see generally 17.005 Chicken Adobo with Fried Eggs + Kimchi), at the ridiculous price of $99 (for 750 ml) – the standard Hwayo costs around $25 (for 375 ml); aged in oak, it just tastes like cheap whisky.
