Whereas “cacciatore (hunter)” or “alla cacciatora (hunter-style” typically refers to a simple rustic meat stew prepared with tomatoes, onions, olives, bell peppers, and wine, it wouldn’t appear to fit here – the toppings included pepperoni, anchovies – GMTD fans will surely know, even if I’ve never mentioned it, even though I’m sure that I have at some point, that anchovies are my single most favorite pizza topping – olives, and capers.  In any case, the pizza was good – a nice combination of dark, salty, bitter, complementary flavors.  Crust leaves room for improvement.
