Enhanced Community Quarantine, Day 73 / Repax Day -2.
The movers came today to pack our stuff and ship it back to Korea.
As per moving day tradition, we ate pizza (see most recently 10.052 Combination Pizza).
One thing that I will not miss about the Philippines will be the crappy pizza from S&R, which I could never resist even though I hated it. I will always appreciate S&R for supplying the milk, booze, Coke Zero, and other goodies over the years.
COVID-19 has been hard on everyone, to differing degrees in different ways. I will be eternally grateful that we have had it so easy thus far, relatively speaking, over the past few months. Foodwise, we were fortunate that the Philippines has managed to sustain production and distribution, at least for Manila. While GMTD had always been a lark, now it reflects the critical importance of eating well under life and death circumstances. I was challenged every day to stand in line and buy whatever ingredients were available, to provide my family with safe, healthy, tasty meals, all the while still working and preparing for the move. I wonder if W or the boys will ever know fully appreciate how much effort that I have put into, among other things, keeping us fed.
